Is the Surge a Good EDC Bag

The Fieldline Tactical Surge Hydration Backpack is a tactical bag that fits well as an EDC Bag in Permissive Environments or areas where having a tactical bag won’t draw attention. This is best used in rural settings, such as when hiking. Next issue will focus on an EDC bag for the urban environment.

The Surge has a 22.2-liter capacity and has a large padded main compartment. Inside the main compartment is a small pocket which will hold a map of the local area. The main compartment also has a mesh area suitable for storing a subcompact handgun or revolver. There is a secondary compartment with three internal pockets and a room for a small fire kit. There is also two outer compartments that will fit a ton of EDC products. The outside of the pack has MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) webbing allows for the attachment of accessories. There are four strips of Velcro for attaching name tags or morale patches.

There is an integrated 2-liter hydration reservoir, for keeping water close in hostile environments.

The Surge equally displaces weight across the shoulders, back and waist. Even fully filled with water the pack is comfortable to wear.

The Surge is backed by a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship (applies when product has been used for the purpose intended and under normal conditions).
